I came to bring my wife to this place and oh surprise, the prices are nothing like what you'd expect. They make you think you're already paying for several things, and then they charge you for everything separately, and it's not cheap. They practically refuse to help you apply for any assistance and give you little hope of being approved for any kind of aid to pay less. People here are friendly, but they do play games with prices. I generally go to Dr's as a self-pay patient and expect to pay (or choose to not take a service) a quoted price upfront. If Lone Star tells you a price for a service DO NOT believe them because it WILL cost more. If you pay for service at the time of service, whether its a Dr visit or lab work, it WONT be the final price. You may think you are paying IN-FULL at time of service but you aren't.
