This is an excellent doctor. The reason his waiting room is so full is because he is an excellent doctor. This is a very busy office because he is an excellent doctor. I don't need smiles and someone wishing me a sparkly day, I need an excellent doctor. The office staff is fine and efficient. They never screw up my billing. Some of the negative reviews are rediculous. There are some people who need to get an attitude adjustment.
My eye doctor is on vacation and Dr. Ashkanazy is covering for her. I called the office yesterday for what I thought was an emergency. Dr. Ashkanazy gave me a thorough exam, handed me a coupon for an over-the-counter medication and suggested I try that for a few days before filling a prescription for an expensive medication. I used the over-the-counter drops one time and viola!! My so called emergency is almost completely gone. I have rarely been as impressed with a doctor as I am with Dr. Ashkanazy!
I trust Dr. Ashkanazy with my eyes! Going in for cataract consultation. He's helped me in the past with serious issues.
I have gone here for about 3 years and haven’t had the best experience. The wait time is ridiculous and when I told him I was having difficulty seeing at night because of the lights he told me to just not drive… Recently I have been calling to make an appointment because I have no contacts left and I have been calling during their office hours yet it always sends me to voice mail (where it tells me the office hours) I will not be returning.
