We can thank Advent health- yet another giant, soulless wolf in sheeps clothing-for the poor experience here. Yet another doctor's office succumbing to corporate pressure and greed. No Christian values here. The doctor literally told me to wrap things up as I was trying to get help. I am the one paying for this visit. It's not like our health insurance actually helps or cares. My only suggestion is that prior to undergoing any procedure get a second opinion.
At the time of the transition to Advent, I wrote a brutal review factually explaining my experience and how it failed me at that time. Now, they are back to delivering the high-quality service I grew to expect and the doc I met was terrific.
Another bad review. I had an appointment and the day I arrived there was sign posted on the door that the office address had changed. So I rushed to the new location and checked in. I sat and waited while people who showed up after me were seen. I went to the front desk and the lady said my appointment had disappeared, even though I had checked in, but she was able to squeeze me in real quick. My oncologist faxed a referral with my CT Urology scan results to Asheville Urology. But as a new patient, it would have taken five months to get an appointment. With more coaxing from my oncologist and several phone calls from me, they were able to get me in to see a newly hired PA within the week. The PA reviewed my medical history and explained his recommended procedure. He consulted with the MD after I left.
