Not friendly, condescending, does not respond to questions, Poor exam
Dr Akhtar has been my doctor for 5 years. She has given me the best care at all of my appointments. Her staff is amazing. Dee and Monique are so kind and considerate. Dr. Akhtar also saved my fathers life. She found the very rare and deadly Merkel cell cancer. The same that Jimmy Buffet lost his life to. My entire family goes to her.
In both visits, she prescribed medications. After waiting a week for the pharmacy to contact me, I reached out to them. They tried to reach her without result. Had to call the office admin and report the incompetence. Today, she prescribed another medication, which the pharmacy never received. Had to call and complain to the front office staff AGAIN!!!!!
My wonderful Dr. Rabinovitz retired so Dr. Akhtar is new to the office. At my first appointment with her she 'fired' me as her patient because I said I am not going to wear a special protective shirt. I could have lied and said I would but I said I use #50 sunscreen. She said 'That does Nothing.'. Dr. Akhtar said she would not be my doctor but she would finish the exam that day. Barely looked at my skin and not all my skin. Did not ask any questions. Recommended no follow-up. Was with me less than 5 minutes.
Dr. Akhtar is extremely thorough with her examination in a very friendly and professional manner. She is very efficient in explaining treatment plans and possesses amazing bedside manner. Dr Akhtar is extremely knowledgeable and was courteous and quick with biopsies. I'm very happy to be her patient.

After waiting many months for an appointment, just got a call that it's been cancelled. Only available is 5 more additional months. Unacceptable and will be looking elsewhere for care.
