A debt collector sends me a letter about an estate stating they are not seeking to hold person taking care of or family responsible for financial matters, lol
This company called me a couple times but the voicemails were always empty. I picked up this time and they were calling me about my grandfather that passed a few years ago. I'm not sure exactly what the reason was for, but after viewing other reviews it seems to be something debt related. I have absolutely no authority on anything related to my grandfather so I sent them my father's number, who then told me this was all probably a scam after I ended the call and informed him of all this. This is a SCAM company. They call saying I'm being recorded & want to talk to me about the estate of someone I have no idea who they are. Like others have noted, it seems they find death records & just call random people in the area or maybe from social media sites who have the same last name hoping to trick someone. Hopefully people research them first so they don't get scammed.
