My doctor ordered a bone density scan as part of a routine screening which should have been fully covered by Medicare. She referred me to Ascension Texas Imaging in Georgetown. When I arrived, they required me to sign papers agreeing to pay whatever Medicare didn’t cover. Bone Density scans I’ve had in the past only scanned major bones in my legs and arms which Medicare covers.
