My nurses and respiratory therapist were great people. HOWEVER, I waited a long time in the ER... not the normal waiting because it was busy.. I was in my room for 7 hours before being admitted and I barely saw anyone. There was a point in time i waited almost 3 hours before anyone even checked on me. I was left alone un-hooked and un-monitored in my room upstairs for an hour before someone came to hook me up to monitor my vitals and give me my treatment. My daught-in-law had a baby over a week ago. She was in there for 5 days. For the most part the nurses were good except a floater. Her bathroom was never cleaned nor was her room. She had to ask for toilet paper. After contacting the Director of Nurses we finally had someone come in and barely clean the bathroom. The day they were leaving my son was sick. Went to er. My 87-year-old grandma fell a few weeks ago and injured her hip/pelvis and wrist, so we took her to the St. Vincent Fishers emergency room. They got her right in with no wait. The nurse came in to ask questions, and then a medical student came in to ask the same exact questions. At some point, a doctor peeked his head in the door to say that they were moving forward with x-rays. No physical exam was performed, and at no point did he even come near Grandma.
