I went into the ER for a severe allergic reaction in my lower esophagus. It was either a reaction to the civic vaccine, or an unknown food allergy. While I was seriously doped up on allergy medications, they did CT scans of my head. They didn't ask my permission, and didn't have any reason for giving CT scans of my brain. There would no reason to do Brain CT Scans to a person who was having an allergic reaction, other than doing unnecessary tests to pump the bill to Medicare
I have had severe abdominal pains for about 5 years & the Madison VA told me to go to the Emergency Room which I did & went to St Mikes ER on the 1st Monday ion December 2020,an Abdominal CT Scan done & the nurse told me 1/2 dozen things it wasn't & told me to: "Go home & come back if you need to!" An ER visit should be exactly what it is. An EMERGENCY. No one should have to wait. I feel like they are taking their sweet time trying to prolong your stay and squeezing every penny out of you. No one should have to wait for more than an hour for a 20 sec conversation with the ER doc. They got so slow and their quality dropped ever since Ascension took over. I liked them better when it was still St. MICHAEL'S.
