I just got off the phone with Elvia at Ascention. I swear if they don't get rid of that rude obnoxious and hateful person I will find another home care company even if I have to change my UHC insurance. I have been ignored, talked to like I'm an idiot, talked over and down to. She never lets you explain what you want or need, she tells YOU what you need. My father passed away recently while under the "care" of this company. He was treated poorly by the doctors and staff as his concerns and medical problems were not taken seriously. The office manager/owner said my father was a hypochondriac who might benefit from being taken out for an ice cream cone from time to time. I don't know how to write a review for this company in all honesty. I want everyone to know, that if you value your life in your golden years, or times of severe illness, please, steer clear of this in-home service. We've been waiting on lab results for six weeks. Elvia, the owner, is the most unhelpful and verbally and physically abuse person I've ever dealt with! This should be 0 stars. Unfortunately the manager there Elivra (sp) is a horrible witch who should not be in that position. Perhaps she would make a good prison guard--not sure about that. At least she would enjoy it. She has a bad habit of hanging up on people. She hung up on me a few times, also my case manager with United Health, and also hung up on the supervisor with United Health. Please be prepared to fight for the person that this "practice" is talking care of. The office staff is extremely RUDE and will hang up on you if you don't give them the information they want. Forget HIPPA If you call to talk to the doctor that saw you, you have to leave alot of messages and they never call back. When the doctor finally comes to see you, they state that "they never received the messages" and apologize over and over.
