Absolutely unacceptable treatment of my 77-year-old mother. She went in for a simple blood draw and specifically told the phlebotomist to use a butterfly needle because her veins roll. The young woman said she was not allowed to use them per her supervisor, and used a regular needle, and failed on both arms. Then she said she needed her supervisor. Mercy Medical/Ascension has lost all quality over the past few years. I don't know which is worse; the ER or walk-in. I always deal with at least one horrible nurse or Dr. Every visit is anxiety ridden. They also judge your looks and will not help you with the standard level of care you deserve due to preconceived notions. The Dr. at Aurora was shocked and apologized for the walk-in clinic leaving me in agony. I hope someone sues them.
