I scheduled this appointment to discuss a new birth control option, review my overall physical health, and complete lab work. Haley did place an order for labs; however, throughout the visit, she repeatedly brought up my mental health in a way that felt unnecessary, inappropriate, and unprofessional. Regarding birth control, I explained that I had previously been prescribed a medication intended to stop my periods, but my OB-GYN had already informed me that it does not protect against pregnancy.
