Had a lot of bad reactions to drugs
We were in Emergency room from around 1:30 in the afternoon until 9:30pm for my sister to be checked for possible stroke. The only things I saw done was blood work x 1, EKG’s 1, v/s and CT scan. Staff time spent in room wasn’t more than 30 minutes. We sat on a hard chair in cold room with one station to watch on tv for 8 hours. The staff was nice and the Md released her at 5:30 but transport didn’t arrive for 4 more hours which I am sure wasn’t hospitals’ fault. I have gone to st Vincent/st Mary’s for almost all of my life I think the treatment I got recently was by far the best everyone was super nice and super helpful
Dad had good care while he was a patient. Everyone was very caring and prompt. I would recommend some more training for the staff with blood drawing. Dad is on blood thinner and his veins would blow and cause bruising which could have been minimized with more pressure being held. One of the staff left the tourniquet on his arm, and it was almost 3 hours before it was found, it was up under his gown. This caused a weakness in his arm where he was not able to lift it or hold it up. Thankfully this has improved after a few week... read more
