The doctor was nice however I went to try to get DVT ruled out. I was told they don’t do ultrasounds there after hours. They didn’t even do bloodwork. They were writing down my name and date of birth on sticky notes same with the triage nurse. I don’t understand how they can say they’re an ER if they can’t/wont do ultrasounds, mri, ct, etc. and why they wouldn’t do a blood test is beyond me because that’s one of the steps for diagnosing DVT. I am a construction worker and was doing some work in the area when I had an accident. I basically through myself off of a flatbed trailer and landed on a pile of stell pipes on my right side ribs. My coworker drove me to the ER at Borgis Pipp in excruciating pain and barely able to breath or move. It was a hard enough fall that I lost consciousness for a few seconds. This is by far the worst hospital I have EVER been to. Every time we have gone in to take my daughter to the ER, the waiting area never fails to smell horrible; cleanliness at this hospital is definitely not important to them. You won’t have to wait long to be attended to since there are never many people there but you can still expect them to rush you out as if they’re super busy. I had a bone density scan back in January, and while the care I received was great, the billing experience has been a nightmare. I’m a self-pay patient and paid the full estimated amount at the time of service, which included the self-pay discount. Since then, I’ve been getting repeated bills for a balance that should not exist.
