I am grateful for the help we rec'd at Ascension Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence. My husband lost his fight with his lung ailments and passed the end of April 2026. The medical/nursing/pcn staff was wonderful. Very nice, informative and attentive to my husband and me. I felt they really cared. It has to be hard doing this kind of job with the inevitable outcome. Positives: The facility is nice and peaceful, depending on what other families are there. Nursing/PCN staff was mostly compassionate and kind. My mother-in-law was brought in on Mother's Day. We were originally told she was only approved for 14 days of hospice, no mention on what would happen if it took longer than 14 days. It took a week to hear from social worker regarding her situation because social worker was out of town. no on-site chaplain, but one was available upon request. Our family is deeply grateful for the way this hospice team cared for our dad in his final days. The staff were gentle and attentive, taking time with small things like shaving him and keeping him comfortable, which meant so much to us. They also respected our culture and final rites with such compassion and dignity, allowing us to honor our traditions and say goodbye in a peaceful way. Our heartfelt thanks to the hospice team for the incredible care and compassion shown to my father, who passed away on October 10, 2025. Dr. David and the entire staff are truly angels on earth — your kindness, gentleness, and dedication brought peace and comfort to my father and our whole family during his final days. We will forever be grateful for your support and love.
My mother died at this hospice center on 12/13/2017. The staff and doctor were absolutely wonderful to my entire family. I forever grateful that my mom was treated with such care and respect during her final days.
