April of 2025 my daughter voluntarily admitted herself to get help. I was so proud of her. She did all the groups while she was there. When she came out she went to outpatient treatment everyday and seemed to be doing so much better. First let’s start with a woman who was restrained to her bed and screaming for 3 plus hours straight while we were there. That alone spells understaffed. We took my mother in law there while in crisis. She was paranoid, hallucinating and thinking her neighbor was trying to kill her using ultrasonic methods of electrocution through the ceiling. The PHP and IOP programs for eating disorders are very good, and I like that they even offer cooking classes; they really helped me. However, in the inpatient unit for eating disorder, the staff doesn't know how to treat anxiety at all.
I went for alcohol detox and 2 weeks later I got a letter in the mail that my foid card had been revoked. Also Dr Shawn wood randomly starts bringing up politics and he’s a liberal.
My experience was mostly ok. Kelly Demers helped me out a lot but she could have been a bit more honest about things. It would have been nice to know we were going through the same things. Also her Covid protocol was strange and I think she didn’t want to go into the office because she just didn’t want to.
