Ascend Recovery ruined my life. Don’t make the mistake my parents made and allow them to send you to this horrible place. Weight gain was my biggest trigger to use and they put me on Xyprexa I gained 40 lbs and was unable to sleep without it for many months after stopping, and was never able to research or ask any questions for the meds they made me take. I first came out to Utah seeking mental health services. I was in a dark time of my life and a person I was working with suggested I go to a rehabilitation facility. I came to ascend seeking answers and seeking help where I really needed it. In some ways I found it and in other ways I didn’t. I found it hard to connect with an environment that has a real lack of God in it. I come from a faith based background and I would not recommend this place to anyone who is faith based (Christian). Best treatment center that is available for addiction and mental health they show nothing but compassion and love for their patience and their families. Sometimes it is hard, but treatment is hard and they make the best of it with treatment and fun God bless everyone at an ascend Recovery.
Watching your child struggle with addiction is an absolute nightmare. Sending your child to rehab, finally getting a small glimmer of hope, only to find out that the promises made by the rehab were more marketing than truth is heartbreaking.
