Asante helped assure mom had a peaceful passing as well as providing the appliances she needed toward the last month of her life. It was a blessing to her daughters.
They pulled my fathers morphine 6days into him dying and doing a major med change that wasn’t significant enough and dosed properly enough to keep my loved one out of pain and comfortable. He suffered for hours due to this and when I asked why the med change I was told it was due to a national shortage. I checked with pharmacy and the medicine they just discontinued him taking was indeed in the pharmacy and on the shelf. My father was not a lab rat they could just trial and error on. I can’t say enough about the beautiful and loving care that Hospice gave my partner, John, for his last two months. He was treated with such dignity, compassion and warmth. During that time I too received the support, respect and warmth that made the journey a little more bearable. God bless you all.
Asante Hospice provided outstanding care during the last year of my mom's long life. While working to keep her comfortable they treated her with utmost respect. There was a variety of personnel who visited: nurses, social workers, bath aids... All were experts in their fields. They were supportive of Mom’s wishes and consulted with me with every visit. My husband's journey with pancreatic cancer, took a very swift and abrupt change, which resulted in two surgeries and coming home on hospice.
