My wife of 50 years went on hospice in Medford Oregon. She passed 6 weeks ago after 7 months on Hospice. I can't say enough positive things about how the saved me during the most difficult time of my life. This did not stop after my wife's passing. I love the people and hospice for their love and support. I would make one recommendation. When a patient comes on hospice, give them the grief information up front then after the patient passes away. Following a long fight with ovarian cancer, my wife decided to stop treatment so she could have a few good weeks off chemotherapy and as such started home hospice care with Asante Hospice. Just over 6 weeks ago, my mother-in-law was diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer. Although her actual time with hospice was very limited, we found every member of her team to be most professional, deeply caring and attentive to her every need. My experience with Asante Hospice was beyond outstanding. They took care of my partner who had cancer and the level of empathy they showed towards her, myself and my family was beyond belief.
