Went to Yamashiro for the first time today! I have to say this is probably one of the best sushi places I have ever been to. The fried oysters were delicious! We ordered three different rolls and all of them were just beautiful from a presentation and artistry perspective, but tasting them was even better! The volcano roll was served on grapefruit slices, which made them very colorful and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. It’s a tad pricey but well worth it! I left after my sushi roll and couple pieces of nigiri completely full(which I can’t normally say when I eat sushi). The portions are generous and I would recommend for a fun night out.
Yamashiro has been my fiancee's go-to Japanese restaurant for many years, and I got the absolute pleasure of finding out why last night. We had an amazing experience there from the start: truly exceptional customer service making you feel immediately like family and a great, low-key, safe, and joyous atmosphere. The staff is very attentive, but not overwhelming. The sashimi is buttery soft and generously cut. Delicious, but a tad on the pricey side. However, for great quality, it was worth it.
