What a shame they are building cookie cutter cheap looking homes with no pilings under the foundation on the Island Beach Motor Lodge site. Every new house I've seen go up in the area puts pilings in the sand under the foundation to support the foundation, I guess it's a bit more expensive, but probably the only way to go, everyone does it. With all the beautiful homes recently built on 23rd and 24th this could have been a beautiful development, but it looks just cheap from the start. it's going to look like a bunch of modul... read more
Devastated to hear you will be destroying history - Island Beach Motor Lodge and Chef Mikes is a gem and the only place like it - been a patron for many years - I was raised coming here and my kids now young adults were here every summer - truly sad - as my younger daughter says it’s magical.
