I visited this clinic several years ago and had excellent service. My visit in July was the exact opposite. My experience is similar to others -- complete disorganization and lack of any customer service. I called to make the appointment and was told that they accepted my insurance so I assumed that they accepted my insurance. I had a great experience. The exam was comprehensive and informative. And Sue was great helping me find just the right pair of glasses. MUCH BETTER result than the discount place I used last time. I recommend them whole heartedly.
Ive been a patient here for years and Dr. Cross has been nothing short of fantastic. I booked an appt a week ahead of time for a routine eye exam and to get new glasses. I show up for the appt and they inform me they no longer take vision insurance and that my benefits wouldnt apply towards getting glasses either. I even talked to them on the phone when booking the appt and confirming the appt a day ahead of time and they never mentioned anything about no longer accepting insurance. Something is going very wrong here. Stay far away. Read the recent reviews. Someone messed up big time and now they won't take insurance and are having grievous billing errors. Family member switched from this place after many many years because they are acting strangely and won't take insurance. I stopped bringing my family here a year or two ago when they were rude, lost our appointments, didn't care about us, and didn't detect a very serious eye illness in my child. Update to my previous review: I have now filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This office has threatened to turn me over to collections for a bill they charged me for services unrelated to my condition. Given that they are unable to schedule a follow up visit, I will not return and have wasted my time and initial payment to this farce of a practice. Very sad that Dr. Bashford doesn't have more sense to hire someone competent to run his office.
