I highly recommend Dr Patel, he is a caring surgeon and doctor with great bedside manners, which is an rare combination. After I broke my wrist, weeks before going on vacation, he gave me several options, one of which was surgery, the other being a cast or a brace. He did not push one way or the other. We opted for the brace, he agreed that under the circumstances it was the best choice. Kudos for his staff too, very professional and caring

Now, I don't have any issue with Dr Patel, what I have an issue is with him farming out braces to DJO, that company is a scam. They consign the braces and sleeves to orthopedic surgeons and bill the insurance. Dr Patel prescribed one of their braces and sleeves, they charged my insurance $460 for something that sells $150 retail at medical supply companies, $100 on Amazon, my copay: $205 Then on my follow up visit with Dr Patel, I made the mistake to say that the brace felt a little tight, DJO employees I assume do a 10 minu... read more

I saw Dr Patel in 2021. Didn’t really help much with my wrist: useless Cortizone shot, recommending a stint cast, and physical therapy: no help. Now, years later, the problem got worse, and I finally figured out that I have this: De Quervain's tenosynovitis. Why didn’t you tell me that sooner? Why couldn’t he diagnose I actually had? Why didn’t you tell me how helpful compression therapy could be? Now I’m probably going to need surgery from losing those four years of good treatment instead of being able to prevent it.

Th worst experience. Car accident out front, 20 min + on hold trying to get a hold of someone in the office. When I finally walked in, I was too late and wasn’t able to be seen. What a joke this health care system is. Dr. can be late but if a patient is they get shafted.

An excellent surgeon! Skilled , organized and professional. Highly recommend! A year later I had a second surgery, this time on my left shoulder. Dr Patel is the best! He and his team were great both times.
