David Stern was a “godsent” for designing and overseeing the interior décor of the new Ramunto’s restaurant in Brattleboro VT. I was approached by David Stern as I was in the early stages of building out my third restaurant. He cold called me and asked me if I would give him a shot at improving a wall we had painted. I told him I would give it a try and ended up being so impressed with his work that I basically gave him my entire restaurant to do a design overhaul and carry out what we had envisioned for it. It was a pleasure working with David! I expect that my personality (controlling and indecisive at the same time) does not make me easy to work with, but David was always in good humor, gave me great ideas but was open to mine, worked quickly and skillfully and did beautiful work. As you can imagine, the panda mural is the centerpiece of my daughter's room. And the built in bookcases and faux finish walls in our spare room were exactly what we had hoped for.

In the past several years, David Stern has done multiple projects in our home. Each has exceeded expectations, and I continue to receive compliments specifically on his work when people come over. I have always found David to be a superb craftsman, timely, energetic, and passionate about his work. His faux finishing and custom painting is the finest I have ever seen. I strongly recommend David’s work to anyone interested in adding creativity and flair to their home or office.

David was recommended to me by Matthew Blau, owner of Milagros Restaurant. David came to look at our space, and gave us a very straightforward estimate of what it would take to paint our gallery floor. David stayed true to that budget, even though we asked for some additional texturing on the floor after he had already completed his initial bid for work.
