Dr Katz performed one valve replacement and another valve rebuild. Additionally, he completed two coronary artery bypasses. The surgical scar has healed so well that it can hardly be detected. Dr Katz’s bedside manner is extraordinary and he has tremendous respect and admiration from the hospital staff.

Dr Katz is by far the best surgeon I’ve ever had . Dedication like none other as well as his office manager and wife. He literally came to see me every day sometimes twice a day while I was in intensive care . I’m so proud to say that I worked in the OR with Dr Katz as an RN when he was at BRRH. Without a doubt, he is one of the finest surgeons that I’ve been in a case with. This man just doesn’t give up on any of his patients no matter how grim it looks. Rest assured, if he’s your surgeon...you have a warrior by your side.
I had a complicated surgery planned with several moving pieces so I was nervous. Dr. Pinelli not only made me feel at ease but her and her office made sure that all the moving pieces were taken care of prior to my surgery including speaking to one of my doctors who was vacationing in Europe. She made sure she had a team of experts in the operating room with her and that whatever needed to be done prior to the surgery was taken care of. I owe her my health and admire her so much!
My friend found a mass in February her primary sent her for multiple testing when tests came back that malignancy could not be ruled out she was referred to Dr Pinelli they called back within the day and she was seen the following week. Dr Pinelli was amazing and professional and surgery was done in 3 weeks. She is an amazing surgeon wouldn’t go to anyone else would recommend her to everyone!!!! If you want a physician who cares is compassionate and on top of everything go to Dr Pinelli!!!
After being seen by my OBGYN for a possible hysterectomy, I was told that I had multiple masses in my uterus and it was beyond his expertize, he recommended Dr. Pinelli. After a few days , I called to find out she didn't think it was necessary to see me for another 2 months! Seriously! When a doctor pretty much states he cant help you and refers you to an ONCOLOGIST - one would think that its pretty important. Apparently not.
Dr. Katz saved my husbands life. My family and I will forever remember him. He is the most dedicated , trustworthy Doctor we have ever encountered. There is no other better for heart surgery than Dr. Katz. He explained everything about the procedure, kept us informed and Even checked with us at home. Very dedicated and you can see that every patient means something to him.
Replaced a faulty synthetic Aortic Valve. Tremendous follow up and answering of all questions. Saw me every day while in ICU. Highly recommend.
