As a young man I spent 15 years working with the medical profession. I learned to recognize an astute and instinctive physcian by observation. Not every doctor has those abilities. Which explains why Dr Art Sands has been my physcian for over 15 years. It also explalains why, for all those years , I have traveled from my home in Lakewood Colorado, all the way to Fort Collins 4 to 8 times a year to work with Art and his team of able assistents. Because they are the best one could ask fore.
DR. Sands has been extremely helpful and his caring bed side manner has been most appreciated over all the years of care he and his wonder full staff have provide me. I will miss you all. Sincerely Michael G
I have been under Dr. Sands excellent care for 20+ years. He has been a superb MD as well as friend. It was with mixed emotions to hear that he is retiring, December 12, 2017. Northern Colorado will truly miss his comprehensive attention to patient medical care. Have fun, Art!
Dr. Sands is extremely compassionate and generous with his time and obviously he didn't become a doctor only for the money. I met Dr. Sands via WebMD where he left his contact information regarding a natural supplement for heart conditions. I then called and left him a message and soon after he called me back and generously spent about 30 minutes on the phone sharing his concern and advice regarding my condition. Intuition tells me he's a good hearted soul and a very good doctor!

Dr. Sands is the 'Wise Old Owl' of medicine. He listens patiently to his patients. His diagnoses are spot-on. His staff is very friendly and family oriented
Was very pleased with the small-office atmosphere. Laurie Janson, P.A. is my care provider. She is attentive, thorough, courteous and caring. I know that I can be seen on short notice. I have recommended her to other aging family members and friends who are looking for this type of care.
I'm a 7 year patient of Dr. Sands. Your appointments start on time. Being able to schedule Saturdays helps those like me who work 50 to 60 hrs a week. Dr. Cathy Robinson and Dr. Laurie Janson are good to see when Sands is not there, as well as the very professional and caring nurse. Poudre Valley Hospital works with this office as it is close-by.
