After researching and meeting with several highly rated tattoo artists in the Austin area I booked with Mike at Arthouse Tattoo. I had a very old and faded tattoo that I wanted covered up. Mike is a true artist with a deep passion for for his art. If you want an amazing tatoo that you will love forever, Mike is your guy. He takes his time to make sure you are happy with the end result. I will be seeing Mike for my next piece. You will not be dissapointed.

I came to Mike requesting a significant cover up on my arm. Mike told me it would take time and multiple sessions. He was accurate on both. I found Mike to be professional and to do great work. Did it cost more than I initially thought, sure but I love the tattoo and it took 6 months of coming in every couple of weeks. I guess you get what you pay for.

I won’t saturate the other negative reviews here with my detailed experience. Just know I was very disappointed as a tattoo “virgin.” I booked two weeks out from my first session, paid the $400 deposit (which was not returned), but was unable to make my appointment due to work conflicts. Instead of being flexible with a possible reschedule, i was labeled a “no-show.” Very well. My wife and I both got tattoos from Mike s as a ten year anniversary gift to ourselves. Mine was my first one ever and hers was her second with Mike. We had a consultation with him together where he took some of our concepts and things we both like and created some amazing designs.
