I'm from out of town, and I met three friends from NYC here for lunch. One friend who has dined here several times recommended it. We had a leisurely lunch, and visited for hours. We all ate the pre fixe, which was very reasonably priced at $15. The food was prepared as expected, and served in a timely manner. The servers were attentive, and refilled our drinks often. The atmosphere was elegant, but not stuffy. The restrooms were clean and well maintained. Next time I think I'll go back for brunch.

For years, I came for the Veal Parm. Brought friends from out of town on Sunday and 3 of us ordered it and found out - don't make it any longer. Only veal chop. Disappointed. Another friend ordered the short ribs - waiter came back and they ran out. The chicken parm was lukewarm but the pasta super hot. Then the spinach w/garlic my friend thought she ordered didn't seem to have any flavor, much less any garlic. Topping it off, one of the bathrooms didn't have any toilet paper either. Not the way it used to be.
My friend and I had lunch here yesterday before we went to see Tristan und Isolde at the Met. We had such a wonderful time. Huge thanks to our server Isabella. She was one of the best servers I've ever had. The tiramisu was to die for!

Really lovely afternoon here. Waiter (incredibly kindly) printed our theatre tickets for us after we (the incredible fools) forgot them at home. Also, delicious cappuccinos.
