the best "Speak Easy" ever.....Some great listening.....really powerful acts and artists featured...only wish it was next door...night driving is not as fun as it used to be.

You would think that good old Berkeley would have a lot of music venues connected to the roots of the Bay Area music scene. Yet, few places offer such an authentic and intimate presentation of American roots music and it accompanying visual arts. The setting resembles 1960s era basket houses and/or lofts in The Village or The Haight. The Art House presents more than just music - it presents and preserves culture. However, you might ned to bring your own beverages and snacks, or some events are pot-luck. Just go with it.
