Do not use McCarthy Services or American Residential Services (Parent Company). They will grossly overcharge and will not return calls. And their office staff will treat you rudely.  We used McCarthy Services to replace our HVAC on 2020 because we had a neighbor that did sales for them. He helped us and it was reasonable.  Something has drastically changed. He left the firm in 2022. Said he was not treated well. Hmm. On 8/25 we had them come over for a service call. Prince came to my home to fix my garbage disposal and the water leakage along with my kitchen sink backing up. What a professional, personable service he delivered! He respected my home and answered any questions posed to him clearly and concisely. He is truly an asset to your company and should be held in high regard. Had a service on June 23. Called 8 times and requested for invoice. After 2 weeks still dd not get it. Who took my money? Cannot find a manager to talk! What a mess! I dispute the transaction with my bank. Durham, NC

My Review is consistent with Shannon for ARS RR-Laurel, MD.....We had a ARS Tech out on June 9th, as I mentioned our A/C upstairs is not cooling. after 2 hours here, he determined the "motherboard" needs to be replaced, as another Tech will have to come out to replace. They were able to come here a few hours later. Once the 2nd tech arrived, he needed to call in to office to order new part, which I pre-paid over $1,000.00. that was June 9, 2025....my wife and I since have had to sleep in a base bead room, as temperatures wer... read more

Florida Home Air Conditioning company stays away from this company. They make numerous promises, which they often fail to honor, including their warranty. I had a new AC installed on August 8, 2022, and after paying them upfront, it took them 7 months to complete the work, despite my complaints about when someone would return to finish the job. I had a 2nd thermostat go bad a couple of months ago. They sent someone to check it, and they promised to send someone out to replace it, but they never came out or called. I had to c... read more

I scheduled a maintenance call for between 8 and noon. I had not heard from anyone at 10am so I called and was told the dispatcher would call me back. At 10:45 I had not heard so I called back- got the same response. At 11:30 AM I called again and asked to speak to someone in the office, they said they could not do that but someone would call me back. At 12:15 I called back again and they said they would transfer me, waited on hold for 15min and someone ever came back on. They have TERRIBLE service- I just want to know when/... read more

I don't suggest calling them or trusting them for anything especially for AC job. Their technicians are not trained properly, it's waste of time and money

On June 16,2024 Redi Zisi Florida Home Air Conditioning tech (invoice# 17565586) came out to assess why my newly installed {01/2024) HVAC system was not cooling the house. He found the system working properly but that the air flow from the fans were not and said I needed all my ducts replaced. He talked to his manager who stated he could give me a “deal” at $450 per vent and not to worry about price because Florida Home had programs to help. Terrible customer service! Had system diagnosed and parts are discontinued not available. All I needed was documentation for my insurance claim (lightning strike) so I could have a ac unit replacement. Im on 6 days called every day with a broken promise to get a call back and email.
