sorry no good food Hi- the owners are probably a very nice family but the food is not good. My husband and I are foodies and tried out dinner items - prime rib and it was only cooked meat - no flavor. Nothing seems homemade except for maybe the desserts. We don't like packaged food so we did not care for the food at all. However the breakfast is much better and the wait staff is very nice.
Around The Clock We LOVE Around The Clock. My favorite on their menu is the grilled vegetarian sandwich. Their pies ARE TO DIE FOR. My two favorites, that I highly recommend, are the Carmel Apple and the Triple Berry. YUMMY! The pie crust is just as wonderful as the filling.
A CONSISTENTLY WONDERFUL PLACE This place is open so much (from 6am to 4am) and the help is consistently quick and reliable. The food is great, their goodies are homemade. Many times you have to wait just for a few minutes to get in because it is so busy. It is that busy for a reason. I also enjoy their homemade soups and breads. Their salad bar is nothing much, but that can be overlooked since everything else is so good. Prices are middle of the road. These ppl know how to cook! PROS: PRICES SERVICE CONS:
Little Food for the Price/Lousy Service I will never go back to this place and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. There are plenty of good to wonderful places along Rt. 14 in Crystal Lake. Go to one of them, not this place. I had been to this place about 20 years ago and I didn't remember it as being particularly bad, but I went there this last Sunday and compared to other Greek/American 24 hour restaurants, this place is at the low-low end of the spectrum. Soup and Service issues We have had to send back soup because it was not hot. After the third time, we were paying the bill and the owner asked if everything was alright. We mentioned the soup and that it was not the first time it happened and he just laughed. There are a number of rude servers also.
Great Food, Great Prices, Great Service! Our family doesn't go out to eat very often, simply because my husband worked as a chef throughout his college years and we all hate to listen to him tell how he'd change the food to make it better. A great place for friends and family Around the Clock is one of the favorite spots among my friends. The place is always clean and welcoming. It is a great place to be from simply grabbing a cup of coffee to having dinner with the family. The food is delicious and the desserts are amazing.
RecommendedSaw this restaurant for years and never stopped to eat there and recommended by a friend. I regret not going there sooner. Thank you for a great family breakfast.
The food was delicious and with following all guidelines for social distancing were were able to bring our 6 month old for his first breakfast experience!
