We first visited in early June and given an appointment for July 22 for epidural procedure, today. There were no instructions given, only the time. When we arrived today we were informed by the doctor that they could not perform the procedure since my husband had never been informed that one of his medicines had to be stopped for three days before the procedure. My experience with the Pain Center was quite negative, not so much because of the clinic but because the BI system is in disarray. After waiting a few weeks for an appointment, I saw a doctor for all of 5 minutes. She asked me a few questions and decided we needed to do an MRI as the next step. (For this, they charged my insurance over $500.) Rather than setting up my MRI appointment, they gave me a phone number to call and sent me on my way. The recent opioid law and provisions really only hurts cancer and chronic pain patients. My dad had a total laryngectomy, 6 rounds of radiation and has to do 6 more again it's been 2 weeks since his surgery its bad. 3-6 weeks frim surgery he starts radiation again. They offered him antidepressants and gave him a speech about heroin treated him like addict, note hes sick very sick hole in throat now and is a mess no longer has a voice box.
