Im leaving this review almost six years after the fact. I had my knee surgery during Covid, i think maybe late summer, early fall at 32 years old. He recommended a patella graft for my ACL tear and my meniscus removal, which was the ultimate injury that forced my surgery. I had lived with an ACL tear for nearly 17 years prior until the meniscus tear that forced my surgery. Dr. Kiburz has been great to work with. His communication is easy to understand, and he’s been very reassuring and kind while helping my 14‑year‑old daughter through a knee injury that’s been keeping her out of soccer and track. He takes the time to make sure she feels comfortable and knows what’s going on. You can tell he genuinely cares. After our appt, the negative reviews just don’t line up with our experience at all. He’s made a tough situation much easier and we are grateful for his care.
He outright lied to me about the findings of my MRI, saying it just showed inflammation, and completely dismissed my pain. He was shocked when I told him I had read the report myself, which mentioned several issues with the joint, including a tear. He tried to cover it up by saying "Well, I bet a lot of people your age have this tear." That may or may not be the case, but didn't I at least deserve to know about it? Very thorough and approachable - did a fantastic job on my shoulder.
Terrible communication, he didn’t bother to review my MRI with me even though I asked specifically for the review since I requested the MRI myself and wanted an explanation. He told me that was his job to review the MRI - very condescending.
