Unleashed dogs everywhere!!!!!!! It is essentially a dog park. I saw 16 unleashed dogs in my 1/2 hour in there today. If you are afraid of dogs, have small children, or have a leashed dog reactive to other dogs, this place unfortunately has much to do to make it a safe space for everyone.
As a person who grew up in the country and is now living in Boston, I appreciate Arnold Arboretum as one of the few places in the city that feels truly peaceful and quiet. Each time I make the trek over here from Brighton, I think, "I need to come here more often!"
