Armeno coffee offers a wide variety of single origin varieties and it is just one a very few similar places in Central MA. Unfortunately, the owner does not know much about the roasting procedure, and the guy with a beard that roasts coffee for them is an amateur. He does not follow roasting curves, does not use any software and termocouples. XIX century! Thus, their roasts are inconsistent, and sometimes are really bad.
Best coffee roaster that I've been to. Their quality has always been consistent. I've been a customer for years and highly recommend them.
Can’t beat the service from John and the staff. John was more than happy to walk through some of their signature beans. Hands down the best coffee I’ve had.
We are loving Armeno coffee. Love the history of the store too--was run by Armenian immigrants as a grain mill for "boulud" (bulgur). The next generation transformed it into a coffee roasting operation--and boy, is it good! We need to try some other varieties, but we've been using the Sumatra Takengon Viennese Roast. Works well for cappuccino using our Rancilio machine as well as a regular cup prepared using a melitta drip method. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but perfect coffee! And I like supporting this business. I stopped in yesterday for the first time and am so very happy I did!!! As soon as I opened the door the amazing aroma of coffee instantly made me smile :) The owner was so warm, kind and welcoming and offered me a sample of some of their delicious coffee. What a cool set up--coffee is roasted right in the building and there are a ton of choices....everything from a light blend to super dark. They also have a wine shop in the back of the building....can't wait to return!!! :)
I found your business the other day when I made a wrong turn. Let me say that was the best wrong turn I have ever made. My son loved being able to walk around, look at the beans being roasted and ask questions about the beans. The lady at the front was also really sweet and talked to my son and listened to his Pokémon story. We will be back as soon as this bag of coffee runs out.
