Excellent. Great with musculo-skeletal system but also does family medicine.
Drs. Heaton were my doctors and my mother's doctors for 13 years. The fact that they are among the few DOs who do spinal manipulation is a huge plus - our previous family doctor of 27 years had been a DO who did spinal manipulation as well. Their bedside manner is terrific, they listen to the patient, and their treatments effective. I wish I could have brought them with me when I moved to Logan, Utah, because the DOs here don't do spinal manipulation.
I visited Dr. Roy Heaton several times for a musculoskeletal problem. Yes - Dr. Heaton is very personable, and his staff is very nice. However...He diagnosed me without first examining me. He performed his first high-velocity adjustment on me without informing me first. My condition deteriorated under his care. He offered me narcotics and did not reexamine his diagnosis or suggest other treatments. He even said I was looking for attention. Notably good service experience. Both my husband and I recommend this practice. From the warm greeting we received from the receptionist to the extremely knowledgeable and caring treatment of Dr. Joe Heaton, our visit to Arlington Osteopathic was first-rate. In today's world of specialists, it is very comforting to find a family doctor, who knows you and your health concerns.
