Every visit I had there was a minimum of a 45 minute wait (in most cases much longer) to see the doctor. I was scheduled to come in on days when it was established the doctor would be out of the office, so I had to be rescheduled (an over 25 mile drive). The doctor did not give a plan of action or potential treatments after several visits. The doctor used archaic ethnic terms to describe my medical condition to which I had to google the word's meaning. During my last visit the receptionist accused me of not paying the copay ... read more

For the third time, I was waiting for my scheduled appointment and an office staffer announced to the waiting room that Dr. Tay was running an hour late. If a doctor can't schedule his time better after the number of years that Tay has been in the business, I won't be wasting my time on him anymore.

REALLY BAD really bad. Dr. Tay interrupted and talked over me when describing my symptoms, decided my symptoms were caused by weight and diabetes without ever performing a physical exam or any kind of diagnostic tests. He didn't seem to either care or believe what I was trying to tell him, as his responses were never actually germane to my questions. I was just supposed to be there for a PSA follow-up after prostate removal. I had to coax that info from him. All he wanted to talk about was my a1c. I told him that I was worki... read more

Terrible bedside manner. While my father was in hospital and needed a catheter changed Dr Tay went on and on about how he doesn’t have time to do this and complained in front of my father who was struggling already. The office staff is less than professional and Dr Tay rarely makes eye contact. Semi abusive.

I had been a patient for over 10 years. I am sure Dr Tay is good at what he does but the practice is only as good as the office staff, and they are terrible in my opinion. I was kept waiting almost an hour for a procedure with a medical student in the room with me. He went looking for the Dr after 45 minutes. When he finally came rushing in he spoke to his nurse the entire time about how much he liked the new medical instrument he was using. I ended up getting an infection and left messages 4 days straight without a return c... read more

Dr Tay is extremely pleasant and helpful. His listening skills are great and he explains everything he is doing and WHY he's doing it. I'm in the medical field and am very leary of many physicians. However, I trust Dr Tay and fully believe, 100%, that I'm in great hands with him. I would highly recommend him if you need a Urologist!

Husband had a visit and the whole experience was horrible. Waited 45 mins, then they said Sonora quest lost his labs and redrew him then was gonna let him go without seeing the Dr even after paying a copay!!! He told them he’s seeing the Dr who came in rushed and not attentive. Felt the whole thing was horrible. Very disappointed in the care.

Addressed my concerns. HOWEVER, this is my second appointment with him and the second time I have had to wait at least 45 minutes past my appointment time. To me, that’s unacceptable and I will find a new provider.

Saw Howard Tay on two occasions. He had the audacity to keep me waiting for over an hour and then exhibited palpable impatience when I required him to answer questions about my condition. He exhibited very rudimentary knowledge of my condition ( non bacterial prostatitis) including protocols used by leading doctors in the field. To be fair he could likely handle a medication issue or plumbing procedure that is clearly defined, but definitely NOT a diagnostician. Keep that in mind.
