Very helpful staff, I called in less than 5mins ago about my pet ingesting something possibly toxic. She assured me they were likely fine but redirected me to poison control as an extra safety measure, I appreciated her knowledge. The call suddenly dropped, WiFi issues, hopefully she didn’t think I hung up!
Everyone at this practice was excellent from the front desk to the provider. Dr. Baxter explained everything so thoroughly and took questions with no difficulty. She clearly cares about what she does and even asked us to follow up so she would know how our cat did. When you're having an emergency with your animal, there's nothing more reassuring than kind, helpful caring providers and staff.
We have used AVECCC in the past and it used to be a great honest ER vet. They don’t care about your pets anymore. Took our goldendoodle in this morning and the parking lot and lobby was empty, we were the only ones there. Told them he was vomiting, panting excessively, white gums and a firm feeling stomach. The front desk had us fill 4-5 forms out and the nurse took vitals. The website says that you can call for 24-Hour verbal assistance if you have an emergency and that it is free. As soon as I called I began to explain and express to the person named Lorelei and she literally cut me off and said I'm sorry but we have emergency cases that were working on right now and she pretty much told me you in oh so many words that since I don't have any money that she doesn't really want to assist me (not that she could not but literally refused to even hear me out entirely).
