We had our young adult son w/ FASD re-evaluated for SMI application and court issues. Dr. Smith tested, wrote Report, and did follow up letter addressing specific concerns. Both were thorough and well-written. Been using psych professionals for 20 years+ and Dr. Smith is excellent.
Highly recommend! From contacting their office and getting more info, making an appointment, to the actual evaluation AZSPI made my daughter feel comfortable. Testing can cause anxiety and they really worked with her to make it a positive experience. Staff is very professional and knowledgeable.
Dr. Smith and his team were phenomenal for us in evaluating my daughter. We were so lost and kept getting pointed in a million directions by others. The school district was not being cooperative or helpful, making us loose all confidence in their desire or ability to help my daughter. We were able to include Dr. Smith as an advocate for her, get the school district to do what was necessary and then even get her evaluated by Dr. Smith for an IEE. We were excited to find an office that accepts insurance for the Autism Evaluation my husband was so eager to have. For reference, you can pay for the evaluation without any insurance for $600-500 from several other providers and facilities. It's been several months and the office is now billing us $1,100. Sure, there's deductibles to be met ... But their charges are EXTREMELY out of range to other providers who are providing the same services.
