Fun and creative menu!
One of the most lovely dining experiences I've ever enjoyed! I had hesitated to accept the invitation, due to my dietary restrictions and not wanting to be "high maintenance" for a private party. After being assured that the restaurant could accommodate my needs, I went, expecting "safe" but not extraordinary food. Another great meal at Arden. We did the chef’s tasting menu (a bargain at $75pp) with wine pairing (another $50pp) and everything was delicious. Relaxed, friendly, but attentive service, a lovely atmosphere, and yummy food. What more could you ask for? A real neighborhood gem.
We stayed in downtown Portland for 4 nights and of all the lovely restaurants we ate at, Arden was our favorite. We had the olives and almonds along with the speciality cocktail they were serving that night, split the green bean salad and each had the spaghetti with maitake mushrooms and shaved truffles, along with two different glasses of wine recommended by our server. It was all delicious, just delicious.
