Editorial fromThe beauty of Arcodoro can be seen in the handpainted tiles from Positano, the warm wood-burning oven, the huge murals and the Sardinian marble from the quarries where the owner's father worked. After work, the cocktail crowd convenes in…

Fit for a Princess – My family and I eat out quite a bit so we acknowledge the fact that every restaurant has its own style of food and service. Arcodoro's food and service is top notch. Chef GianCarlo is a genius. We have never had a dish we didn't like. The portions are perfect the presentation is beautiful and the taste is out of this world. The staff is very knowledgeable about the food and wine they serve. It is a great place to take the family. The kids love to sit at the pizza bar to make their own oven baked pizzas. ... read more
Bad food, Bad service - Houston Restaurant Weeks – The only thing good I can say about Arcodoro in the Galleria area is that they employ a very talented writer. Based on all the menus we looked at for Houston Restaurant Weeks (HRW), we were most impressed with what Arcodoro offered. We had dinner on a Monday at 9pm. We were given the speical HRW menu and no wine list or drink menu, and asked the hostess for them. The waiter failed to greet us, but just asked what we wanted to drink. We asked for a wine list again. After orde... read more
Amazing Food, Crappy Service.. – OMG, they had amazing food.. everything was so flavorful. The only bad thing about this place was the service. Our waiter had a major attitude issue.. But other than that, y'all should really try this place. I will definitely be going back there again..
Great Ambiance, Great Service – I went here with someone not long ago. We ate in the main dining room. The atmosphere was nice. We were seated quickly even though the place was packed. While we were waiting for a table, several employees came by to see if we needed anything. The manager appeared to be very professional and attentive. He also came by to see if we needed anything. Our waiter took very good care of us. After dinner, we had coffee and dessert on the pleasant covered patio that had very comfortable seating. We ha... read more
Huge Disappointment – Since Arcodora's is my sister and my favorite Houston restaurant, we decided to splurge on Easter Brunch. The Sardinian soup was tasteless. The so called mint broth tasted like water, so I exchanged it for the potato leek, which was also very bland. We're both lamb lovers, so we were stunned by how bad the lamb was, tough, tasteless, and over cooked. My sister had finished hers before a server asked if we'd like some lamb sauce. It helped, but didn't save the dish from being the worst lamb I can recall ... read more
Overpriced and Sloppy Service – The food was mediocre, the service was sloppy and the prices were excessive for what we got. Maybe that is the reason why they are slow now?
food is ok...but customer service needs improvement – we have been going to Arcodoro for years....we have always enjoyed the food and had great servers about 95% of the time. we have always thought the restaurant was kid friendly for brunch as well. we have a child with food allergies and we specifically asked her brunch to be cooked a certain way...the food had one of her allergens in it and when we asked about it, we heard the manager tell our server...just tell them we cooked it the way they asked. he was snarky and rude ... read more
Bad food. Expensive. – I went to Arcodoro looking for a nice italian restaurant to a Saturday dinner. The valet service was reasonable for the region. When I ordered the food, I figured out an expensive place that serves frozen foods. I ordered a lasagna and my wife a gnochi. Our order took more than 20 minutes to arrive. The lasagna and the gnochi were heavy and the taste was similar to frozen foods found in the supermarket. it was uneatable.I don't recommend at all.
Flawless! – Last week my husband and I went out to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. My Husband had made a reservation at a certain famous steakhouse in the Galleria area. We got there on time but the host had us wait for 35 minutes! since it was a busy night we didnt mind but I kind of noticed people are getting tables without reservation as soon as they walk in. So I told my husband I have lost my appetite and would like to go home. We left the steakhouse and were going to our car and noticed this beautiful patio wit... read more
