This place has been around since 1947. They opened to give service members a place to get a drink and something to eat. I had the catch of the day . It was a blackened red drum and their home cooked kettle chips all cooked to perfection. The bar tender Courtney was super friendly with a great smile .
The food is is definitely not what it used to be! We went in for dinner, I ordered the prime rib, and it was HORRIBLE! It looked like a piece of deli roast beef. It was thin, over cooked, dry, and lacked flavor. After telling the waitress she said no problem I'll get you another portion. This time the chef himself came out with the new slice and it was no different. He then tried to justify it not looking medium rare by saying that the sauce discolors the meat. I came back to this place after a while wanted to try the food. The food isn’t great at all for the price they charge you think they would do a better job just sad this place went downhill so far the hamburgers like rubber the mac & cheese and lobster was pretty decent and so were the fritters I hope they can get the food together there and bring it back
