I have been a client for 6 years and sure they had there up and downs but who doesn't it. No matter what is going on in my life they are there to listen to me and needs. The wonderful name laela that answers the phone in a kind and is wonderful to talk to. No matter if things at the office is not working well they still answer with a happy tone. They try there best at filling my schedule. They always let me know if they are having difficulty with finding aides to fill in.
I have worked for Arcadia for over a year, and overall is a great company. I've met some amazing people through this job. I enjoy helping the clients and learning about the lives they've lived. Of course the company has their ups and downs, we're humans interacting with other humans. The boss is very understanding and compassionate. I love working at Arcadia. I have wonderful managers and my boss Ashley is the best boss I've worked for. I have wonderful clients that I would do anything for!
It breaks my heart to say that I would never recommend this home healthcare agency. My aunt, who trusted them to provide care, is now in the hospital fighting for her life after suffering a stroke — one that could have been caught sooner if the aide had been paying attention. While my aunt was having the stroke, the aide was sitting on the couch playing games on their phone instead of checking on her. If you care anything about the well being of your loved ones or your sanity, run from this place. The caregiver in charge of my aunt walked into her home, barely looked for her, and proceeded to go to the couch with no care in the world. Meanwhile, she was in a room in the house suffering from a stroke. Luckily a neighbor happened to call to check in which brought attention to the situation and my unattended aunt. This is not a good representation of what home care should be.
