I have lived in the building for almost four years. I moved in during COVID and have loved it ever since. The location and neighborhood is fantastic, with great bars and a range of restaurants. The facilities are always clean and the roof is a cherry on top, especially during summer. Frank, the building manager, has achieved legendary status. He's not just quick to respond to any issues big or small you have, but is also a friend to everyone. It's not just a building, it's a community. I'll certainly be renewing my lease
I’ve never posted a building review before but because of my truly horrible experience there I felt compelled to write one. The building smells like smoke across the hallways and common areas since the super smokes in his office and home on the 7th floor. The laundry machines don’t work and the management team is unresponsive and does nothing to resolve issues. Lived at Arabella for 2 years and recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient, friendly and fun place to live in east village (with amenities!). 1 block from the east river and the night life on Ave C and the best restaurants around Tompkins Square Park. The Building manager, Frank is a legend and more of a friend than a Super and comes through when you need him. Great Apt to be in.
Let me start off that I love my apartment BUT the property management, Dermot are terrible. I had tried to contact them about an amount due for rent for the month of September that contradicts my lease for over a month and NO ONE in their offices answers the phone. Call Dermot Property Management, see how it goes. That’s what you’ll have to deal with living here. It’s a complete fight to get basic things done. The super/building manager here goes above and beyond to ensure his tenants get the best experience. Facilities are always clean and in order. Frank, the current Super/building manager, has always fixed or given an update on when repairs will take place almost instantly when reported via the internal maintenance portal. Best place we’ve lived in NYC yet!
