UPDATE 4/24/26: The air filter from Aprilaire arrived in poor packaging condition, which was disappointing. However, their customer service team responded promptly and sent a replacement for free. The replacement was properly packaged, and the issue was resolved without hassle. I had an AprilAire 800 steam humidifier installed in my home in mid January 2026. It does a great job, but with an obvious flaw. The hose they supply that carries the steam into the duct system, off-gasses a nasty rubber smell into my whole house. The "fix" AprilAire offers is, "wait", it will fade over a few months. WHAT? NFG AprilAire. That is not an answer, nor a solution. DO NOT RECOMMEND - If I could give 0 stars I would. Dont buy from this company unless you plan to pay a professional hundreds to connect four unlabeled wires that they themselves will have to call support to understand because their documentation is simply non-existent. Spoke to a tech support person (Braddon) today and he quickly helped me figure out what was going on with my humidifier units control wiring. He sent me a link and I was able to upload photos to him while we were on the call! And he told me how to fix my issue quickly. Super tech service! I am thrilled! I would give more than 5 stars if possible!
