Sad to say. We live in FL and called for some assistance on a poor install for a home that less than 4 years old and clearly done wrong by the local HVAC company Armstrong HVAC (also terrible). Response...not our problem call your installer. After living in WI for 20 years and knowing the quality of people that live and work there I was shocked. UPDATE 4/24/26: The air filter from Aprilaire arrived in poor packaging condition, which was disappointing. However, their customer service team responded promptly and sent a replacement for free. The replacement was properly packaged, and the issue was resolved without hassle. I had an AprilAire 800 steam humidifier installed in my home in mid January 2026. It does a great job, but with an obvious flaw. The hose they supply that carries the steam into the duct system, off-gasses a nasty rubber smell into my whole house. The "fix" AprilAire offers is, "wait", it will fade over a few months. WHAT? NFG AprilAire. That is not an answer, nor a solution. DO NOT RECOMMEND - If I could give 0 stars I would. Dont buy from this company unless you plan to pay a professional hundreds to connect four unlabeled wires that they themselves will have to call support to understand because their documentation is simply non-existent.
