My lender, who was great hired Appraisal Tek. Huge mistake!!! The appraiser Appraisal Tek hired was named Xavier Escobedo. Xavier missed his deadlines and almost caused us to lose our house. We paid double the price of an appraisal (almost $1200) for a top tier appraiser and to make sure our 3-week commitment was met. He committed to a 3-week turnaround. Do not use this company!! Use someone else and do not waste your money!! The owner/instructor has poor customer service skills. He is the worst ever! He calls himself a business owner??? What a joke! I believe he teaches, also? So i am not surprised that this Tiela Rigg did not assess my home correctly and made a huge error when assessing my property! David Merrill is the worst appraiser ever. If you see his name come up find someone new. We paid over $700 for an appraisal only to have to order another one because his information was so inaccurate.
