Appliance Doctor!!! How about Appliance Quack. I’d give zero stars if it was an option. Took my washer apart with narrowed tools said he’d be back to finish the job. Guess what he has never come back. Who shows up to a job without tools? That should have been a clue.

Butch has serviced all my appliances for a long time, more than a decade probably two. He has saved me a lot of money repairing the appliances at my home and two rentals. During a period that he was ill he had a fill in that less expert. (For those negative reviewers, it is important that you are clear exactly who you are talking about.) We contacted the Appliance Doctor about fixing our washing machine. First time he came to replace the door latch the second time he came he replaced the control panel inside neither of which needed to be replaced because the motor was bad and he couldn't figure that out. He told me he had to go home and research what the problem was on his computer but never return my calls or came back to tell me what was wrong so I had to get another company to come fix the problem. The appliance doctor has fixed my washer dryer dishwasher .. All of these over the years. If he could not fix something I would expect a service charge same a Sears protocol , but less. I would suggest if you have new technology maybe you should call someone else . He has been great over the years to me and 4 neighbors.

We called on a Thursday morning and left a message on answering machine regarding our washing machine. We received a call back pretty quick. He was able to come out that afternoon. The machine needed a pump and he said he'd get it and install the next day or Saturday. We paid him the $60 for the visit and, the remainder of the bill would be $107. The appliance doctor showed up and charged me $50 to tell me that the icemaker in my refrigerator could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. After he left I fixed it myself, and it is working great. What a waste of $50. I definitely should have tried to fix it myself first.

I wish I would have found the prior reviews. They are exactly right. He showed up - asked for the manual - talked about how much of a Christian man he is (sings Christian music) and tells me I owe him $60 but will research the problem because I didn't have the right info in the manual and would call me by the end of the week. I have never heard from him. But he cashed my check that afternoon! Wonder if he thinks about his actions as he is singing his Christian music!

We experience the EXACT same thing the other review detailed in their review of this 'repairman'. I'm convinced he does this to a lot of unsuspecting people - he will charge you $60 just to come to your house, then tell you he will be back in a week with the part. He never comes back and NEVER returns any phone calls. HE IS A SCAM ARTIST. Be aware. He gave us his assessment of our dishwasher and it was completely wrong. Another repair service fixed it in one day and didn't need to order parts. This guys is crooked and a liar... read more

This guy charged us $60 to tell us our washer was broken (which we already knew). He told us he would order the parts the next day and would be back by the end of the week to fix it. It is 9 weeks later and he still has not returned to fix our washer- and does not return calls.
