One of the worst medical experiences I’ve ever had and I strongly urge others to avoid Dr. Whalen at Appletree Medical Centre, 2150 Robertson Rd. I waited over 2 hours in the waiting room, and once I was finally called in, I was left sitting in an exam room for another hour while Dr. Whalen picked and chose which patients he felt like seeing including virtual appointments for minor issues that he rushed through in 2-3 minutes each. While washing a glass, it broke, and I seriously cut my finger. We went to Appletree Medical Centre at 2150 Robertson Rd. We registered at the kiosk and selected Dr. Baranick (there was no other option). When it was our turn, we went inside to see the doctor, and what happened next left us shocked. A nurse took us to a room, asked what had happened, and we explained. She then went to speak with the doctor and returned, saying the doctor would not see us. We went to the walk-in for my dad’s finger that had been deeply cut after a glass was broken in his hand while washing the dishes. The doctor didn’t even bother looking at his finger for the sole reason that it MIGHT require stitches.
I want to thank abdul aziz for exceptional service. I was truly in a position where in any other appletree I would have been left to rot. I would have been screwed but thanks to Abdul who took care of my needs and with the doctor baranick, I left in good condition and with my needs met. Website for Bells Corners said 15 mins wait time. We waited 1 hour. I have never been rushed through an appointment like this in my life. Saw Dr. Whalen for rx renewals. He wouldn't even fax rx to pharmacy for us. He literally did not let us speak and we had questions. I can't believe service is this bad and allowed to continue. So disappointing.
