Absolutely ridiculous. I was referred for allergy testing and I had this appointment booked weeks in advance. I got phone calls, emails and multiple texts confirming the appointment. Less than 24 hours before my appointment I get an email that the doctor has decided not to do the allergy testing and I can come in and if I need a referral I can get one to see a different doctor. Went to baseline walkin which mentioned 5 mins waiting .when arrived they said no more walking accepted.Went to merivale walkin from there waited for long time and then they said that the doctor can't prescribe for lab tests wasting my time for nothing.
Arrived as a walk in. Wait time online said 5 min, arrived at 9:30 AM, got into see the doctor at 11:30 AM, left the building at 11:45 AM. Total wait was 2 hours, not ideal but I was expecting to wait. I saw the doctor, if seeing the nurse practitioner I believe there is a fee. The online wait time needs to be addressed as patient volume increases because it’s very misleading. There are things the doctor can and can’t do, there’s a form on the wall, i’ve attached it.
