We stayed in the Carriage house suite; kitchen, living room, dinning room, 2 bedrooms, private deck, bath, could sleep 6. Wallpaper could use update but suite was clean and comfortable. the price was great $35. I have terrible allergies, and I had no issue here. very clean for a motel, they even launder the shower curtains. The extra items are a small frig and microwave, with 1 table and a desk. Hot, Hot water in shower (it cold outside) and they are not cheap on water flow so you can get clean. We stayed in a room with 2 double beds.They don't allow pets, which I understand, they are a family business and put a lot of work into keeping rooms clean and nice or the price. Applegate was all decorated for the holidays which, for us, was delightful. Pam greeted us warmly and showed us to our room which we loved! A welcome setting with warm and friendly owners and guests. All engaged in fun conversation and the July 4th weekend crowd in from all over the Northeast to enjoy James Taylor's sold out 2 nights was the highlight experience and conversation.
