I was in town for a short period. I placed an order and mentioned I had military i.d. The person taking my order said, "Show your i.d. when you come in to get the discount." When I arrived to pick up the food, that same person said, "Opps! I made a mistake and you can't get a discount on the 2 $25 specials." I was gifted a gift card to Applebees. It has been nearly 20 years since I have eaten at an Applebees restaurant. Perhaps I should not have broken that streak. The wait staff did their best to tend to the diners there. They are the best aspect of my visit and they are better than Applebees deserves. I ordered a 6oz sirloin cooked medium well with broccoli and mashed potatoes. The steak had a horrible taste like it was marinated in tenderizer.
