Applebee’s at Alameda’s South Shore shopping center is a letdown. The service is consistently poor. Over the past nine years, I have taken my children on separate mommy-daughter and mommy-son dates, and each visit has been a disappointment. The wait staff vanish after dropping off the food, leaving customers to fend for themselves with a self-checkout system. Recently, I ordered takeout from this restaurant through DoorDash and it was not correct—I called the restaurant but the manager working that night seemed indifferent about my concern. Yesinia, the business manager for Applebee’s International, called me directly to resolve the issue. She was so pleasant to converse with! I got the blackend salmon which was tender and very good, but my girlfriend got ribs which didn't have alot of meat. Her soup and salad she loved.
